Patient's Vital Signs Can Now Be Monitored Wirelessly Through Radar

The University of Waterloo developed a radar system that can wirelessly monitor a patient's vital signs, eliminating the need to hook them up to any machines. The system is housed in a device smaller than a cell-phone and uses sensitive radar waves that are analyzed by algorithms. The system achieved results over 90 percent as accurate as standard hard-wired equipment.
